Wow where do I start.  IRS?  EPA?  Benghazi?  Rosen from FoxNews?  06/10/13

I read this article on another site, I believe it was from The Blaze or Mark Levin or Brent from MRC, so I want to make that clear up front so I do not plagiarize.  It was a great point and my apologies I don't have time to give true credit, so here it is...

NSA/CIA/Google/Apple/Verizon/Sprint/whoever else phone call, email, text, twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and whatever else monitoring has been going on for years.  Ok, this can't be denied because Obama said it live on television last week.  And that's fine, the president came out and explained what it was for, he explained the organizations and people who were involved, and he explained the justifications for it.  So here's my question:

Last year David Petraeus, head of the CIA, was caught up in what became a very public affair with another woman (he is married).  I understand we all have faults and temptations.  But this situation is intriguing.  If this monitoring of all these forms of communication had been going on for years, then how would the HEAD of the CIA not know that the emails and texts and phone calls he was sending to this other woman would not be being monitored? How would the leader of the CIA not know this?  I just can't fathom how this is possible.  Petraeus, who would have certainly known about the email/phone/internet/text/twitter monitoring would have certainly known that everything he was doing would most certainly cost him his job and his marriage.  So what's the catch?  I'm glad you asked, because I will pass on the theory...

I need to jump back a bit.

In 2007 during the campaign for president, Hillary accused obama of a lot of things, dirty campaign tactics, questionable commercials and ads, etc etc.  Obviously we all know obama smashed Hillary in the primary.  So  after being elected president, obama made sure that Hillary would not be an opponent by appointing her to an office.  If you didn't see that writing on the wall then you are either an idiot or you know more than me.  This was later proved, the whole "Bill Clinton hook up" where he endorses obama and then 4 years later obama endorses Hillary, the typical trade-off that the liberal progressive socialists accuse conservatives of but overlook when it fits into their agenda.  (Side Note:  Google and Apple were at Bilderburg last week).

So my point.  Petraeus was rumored to be a presidential candidate for 2016.  I don't know if there is any kind of connection, but wow this stuff seems crazy.  He was the head of the CIA, he would have already KNOWN everything he sent would be monitored, yet he risked his marriage, his career, and his life, for that?  Am I the only one that just has to raise an eye brow for this situation?  I don't know, you decide.

I am trying to cover a few subjects today, a shout out to my friend at work JC (5000 everyday yeah!), he reminded me of a topic...chloramine in public drinking water. I'll try to do some research and post on that, I got an email on that earlier in the week and I plan to opine.

Ok, IRS.  I don't know where to start.  And the reason I don't know where to start, is because our gov't doesn't even know where to start.  I'm tired of hearing that the IRS is the most feared department in government.  I wonder what would happen if every person in the country decided not to file taxes one year.  Every person in the country.

As a matter of fact, what if we woke up tomorrow morning and miraculously everyone in the country had an electric car and stopped smoking?  Yeah it sounds good.

Imagine how much money the gov't would lose from taxes.  Do they REALLY want us to drive electric cars and quit smoking?  Think about it.

Shout out to 113 (previously 115), Joe, Dave, Wade, Brock

My My my... 01/29/13

Regulations.  Laws.  Criteria.  Company policies.  Court orders.  Partisanship.  Blah blah blah.  This is the only way to solve problems right?  Because common sense has no role in our everyday life.  Only the government and their laws can lead us down the right path.  Right?

Yesterday a story hit Yahoo! News, a couple in Indiana (a police officer and his wife) are facing jail time and monetary charges for a horrific crime.  Apparently roughly 18 months ago they found a baby deer who had been hit by a car or whatever.  Either way, the baby deer was severely injured and could not walk.  They housed the deer on their own property, nursed it back to health until the deer could be on its own.  Now, I don't know about you, but this is EASILY the worst and and most horrible crime I have ever heard of in my life.  This couple should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  Not only did the couple nurse this deer back to health, but the wildlife department in their state ordered that the deer be euthanized due to its danger to humans.  I looked it up on Google, wiki, etc.  And although deer attacks on humans are extremely rare, it HAS happened.  I feel safe now today that the wildlife dept in Indiana looks out for my well being.  Deer are definately a dangerous threat to humans and if it wasn't for our government, we might all be dead.

In other news, former vice president Al Gore, who has championed his entire life on global climate change and inventing the internet (I guess at 9 years old you can invent the internet.  Not that it was based on the govt sector ARPAnet or anything,  Because that would change the whole narrative) has sold his TV network to Al Jazeera.  For like $100 million.  Business is business, no one disputes that.  SO what's the big deal, right?  Here's the big deal.  Al Jazeera is based in a country called Qatar.  They get ALL their money from oil sales.  The same oil which powers our cars and trucks and heat our homes.  But it gets better.  Al Gore supports "cap and trade".  Now I'm not going to try to explain this whole theory, because honestly I don't have time.  I'll sum it up for you.  Basically it says America should charge our factories and companies a fee for exceding the carbon emmissions stated under federal law, and that money should be given to 3rd world countries.  Kinda like a penalty.  More-so like a tax.  Maybe like a crime.  So that's that.  So what's the big deal.  Here's the big deal:

Al Gore owns the software company that would monitor and regulate the carbon emissions from these factories.  It's called Hara Soft.  Al Gore stands to make $25 billion a year if cap and trade is passed as a law.  Now that's an Inconvenient Truth.

(Remember what I keep saying...don't solve the symptoms of the problem.  Solve the problem).

Guns.  AK47's.  AR15's.  16 round clips.    Guns are bad.  Everyone agrees to that, right?  Guns are extremely bad and no one should have them.  Except law enforcement and military.  Right?

Large sodas and soft drinks are against the law in New York.  16oz is the limit.  We'd like to thank the mayor of New York for saving us from ourselves.  If it wasn't for you we would continue to indulge ourselves with Pepsi.  Thank you Mayor Bloomberg for saving me from myself.  If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be able to think for myself.  $2.75 tax per pack of cigarettes in NYC.  If everyone in NYC decided to stop smoking completely, how much revenue would that equal?  What if everyone in NYC bought an electric car?  No more gas tax.  How much money would that equal?

The fiscal cliff.  The budget.  The deficit.  How hard can it be?  Don't we do this everyday?  If I only have $50 to spend on groceries, I can't spend $100.  How hard is it?  How many of us have maxed out our credit cards and then called Visa and said "Hey I know I've met my limit, but I need more money".  Have you ever tried that?

I used to work at a restaurant for tips, waiting tables, cleaning dishes, seating people.  One day this lady handed me a pamphlet, one of those "Jesus" pamphlets.  I Love Jesus.  I pray daily.   She says to me "I don't have enough to tip you, but I have this pamphlet,  I think it's more important than money".  I told her thank you and went about my day.  Later that week the electric company showed up at my door.  I was going to be shut off if I didn't have the money.  I told the guy "Hey man I don't have the money, but I have this Jesus pamphlet, that'll work right?".  I'll leave it up to you to decide how that worked out.

Did you hear about the child who's lunch was confiscated because his teacher deemed the lunch to be unhealthy?  A sandwich, some chips, a dessert treat and a soft drink.  Make a note parents:  You cannot decide what YOUR child eats.  Only the government can make that decision.

Last week a child was suspended from school for having a paper gun.  I saw the image, it didn't even look like a "paper" gun.  It looked like a piece of paper.  The only reason the school found out about the "gun" was because the child threw it in a trash can and a teacher found it.

It all makes sense right?

And Now we are starting to see the truth 12/17/12

I have this saying, and I've said it multiple times before.  We CANNOT solve the symptoms of a problem.  We need to SOLVE the PROBLEM.

I am a former prison guard (or corrections officer, which is sometimes a contradiction of terms), and trust me I've seen things that I cannot speak about, nor would I want to.  One certain inmate I would like to speak about (although I cannot mentions names or locations) was an older gentleman, much older than myself who was doing time for auto theft.  Most of the time he was a quiet unassuming man.  He held his head down, rarely spoke to any of the guards, and when he did he was usually polite.  He would walk into the chow hall, get his tray everyday, sit by himself, politely return his tray to the cafeteria workers after he was down, and politely leave.  During recreation time he would walk by himself, sometimes staring outside of the fence, sometimes pacing and minding his own business.  And none of the other inmates interacted with him much, and I never saw him talking to them.

I was able to access the inmate files of any inmate in my state, so one day I decided to look up this gentleman's arrest record and convictions.  He was doing time for grand larceny, specifically for stealing cars.  And rightfully he should be doing time for that.  The law says "if you steal you do the time", and I respect that.  It was almost amazing to me that a guy who acted as he did would commit such a crime.  But here's my point.

I had spoken to the gentleman on occasion, usually when he asked if I could turn the lights on in the day room so he could read a book, or maybe when he wanted a roll of toilet paper.  He was always very quiet, very polite, very unassuming.  However, on one occasion I saw a different side of this man.  One summer day during recreation he was standing by himself, staring out of the fence, pacing.  As I walked by I asked him "You good?  Everything ok?".  It was a very innocent question, I asked it in a non-threatening manner and was polite.  What came out of this man's mouth was an explitive filled tirade that sounded like something you'd hear from a hardened criminal.  A 15 second rant like what you'd expect from someone who was doing prison time.  It caught me off guard a little bit, but I've heard and seen alot in my time as a prison guard, everything from racial epithets, to threats, I've had objects and body fluids thrown at me, I've had inmates ask for favors or to have contraband brought in for them.  I didn't really give his tantrum a whole lot of thought, but as the weeks went on I continued to observe this inmate.  I spoke with some of his former and current cell mates, and I learned a completely different side of this gentleman.

His cellmates told me a completely different side of this inmate, and I saw this side of him as I continued to observe him.  They told me stories about him arguing with himself, about him going into explitive filled tirades with himself, about how he would talk to himself, sometimes compromising with an invisible individual which only he saw, about how after arguments with himself he would meticulously count his socks and fold them in his locker, about how he would strangely clean certain areas of his cell randomly.  As I observed him I saw the things they told me about.  How he would mumble to himself, pace back and forth in the recreation yard, how he never talked to other inmates, how they never talked to them.  I'm not a psychiatrist so I will not even begin to try to explain what this man's deeper problems were, but I know for a fact they are much deeper than stealing cars.

My point is this:  It's not that this man failed the system, it's that the system failed him.  Now don't get me wrong, you do the crime, you do the time.  That's what the law says.  And we all have to play by those rules.  But this man had a much MUCH deeper problem than just doing a crime and doing prison time.  As I delved deeper into his criminal history I discovered this man had originally been sentenced to a 90-day work camp program, most likely doing landscaping, mowing lawns, picking up trash, basic maintenance.  Apparently a few weeks into this program he spouted off at the administrators and decided he didn't want to take orders from someone else, and subsequently decided that a 3 year prison sentence would be better than a 3 month work program.  Now who in their right mind would choose 3 years of prison over 3 months of lawn mowing?  The answer is, no one in their right mind would.

Now, I'm not suggesting this man shouldn't be doing prison time.  He broke the law, and that's that.  But the problem with him was probably well before he stole a car.  It was obvious to anyone who saw or encountered this individual that he had some SERIOUS mental issues that needed to be addressed.  The problem was the mental issues were not addressed.  Or if they were, it was a bad attempt.

My bottom line point with this entry pertains to the rash of mass shootings that seem to happen every week in our country.   Obviously somebody who would do something like that has serious mental issues.  So because that heinous act was committed with a gun, we seem to think that banning guns will solve the problem.  I wonder what would have happened to that inmate from the prison if they had banned cars?  Do you think he wouldn't have developed mental health issues?  Do you think he probably already HAD some mental issues?  Once again, I am not a psychiatrist, but we have come to a point in our society where we use the prison system as a tool for rehabilitation of people with serious mental issues.  Coming from someone who has seen up-close the prison system, I can truthfully tell you that if you think that a prison makes a person with mental health issues into a better person, you are absolutely and completely wrong.  We seem to think that if we just lock some of these people away from society for awhile that will solve the problem.  I've seen completely sane people locked away in prison for years (one guy was in for worker's compensation fraud because he didn't get his claim notarized), only to re-immerge into society with mental issues.  I understand the law, it is what it is.  But we've come to a point where we don't know how to deal with mental health issues, so we just throw them into a cell and hope the problem will go away.  And it will for awhile, until they are released.  And what do we do then?

Tragedys in the mall, tragedys in Connecticut 12/15/12

First of all let me say that my prayers go out to everyone.  It's 10 days until Christmas, and I mean that.  Not only do my prayers go out to the victims of recent violent crimes, but my prayers go out to everyone.  God bless us all.

I'm trying to wrap my mind around the recent tragedies of the shooting in New Jersey and in Connecticut, and I'm not sure there's a way to do it.  I'll get back to that.

As we speak,  I am taking courses and training so that I can attain my state license to sell life insurance.  When I first started this endeavour I envisioned a service that helps families and loves ones in the event of death and unfortunate events.  And in essence that is what I will be doing.  But at the same time, how much does a life cost?

See, I will soon be setting up life policies for families and loved ones that have a dollar amount.  Today I am asking myself, how much money is that?  How much money does it take for a family member to die that makes it OK?  Obviously there is no amount, and that's my point.  I don't have the answer, and if anyone tells you they do, they don't know either.

Here's the flip side of the coin.  Guns.  I agree with Mike Huckabee's statement today.  He is a good Christian man and has strong conviction, and I believe that.  People are killed by many other vessels other than firearms.  And let's get specific to murder, because that's what this was.  Knives.  Cars.  Baseball bats.  Fists.  Stair steps.  Drugs.  Poisonings.  Hands.  Steel toed boots.  Explosives.  Tire irons.  Bullying.  Allergies.  Over-doses.  Flammables.  Electricity.  Water.  Plastic bags.  Pillows.  Blankets.  Furniture.  Rugs.  Dogs.  Wood 2x4's.  Hammers.  Axes.  Chain saws.  Lawn mowers.  Wood chippers.  Cement trucks.  Tractors.  Motorcycles.  Garage doors.  Nail guns.  Shovels.  Blood borne disease.  Ice picks.  Forks.  Ovens.  Bathtubs.  Ropes.  Chains.  Hand cuffs.  Numchuks.  Rocks.  Bricks.  BB guns.  Crossbows.  Golf clubs.  Hockey sticks.  Polo sticks.  Croquet sticks.  Wine cork screws.  Chop sticks.  Boats.  Glass.  Metal.  Scissors.  And on and on...

Some of those you probably laughed at, but make no mistake, EVERY one of those items has been used to kill someone.  And the ones you laughed at are the ones you own and use everyday.  Because all we see in the news is the "gun" crimes.  Yes I understand that someone would most likely not be able to walk into a school and kill 25 people with a golf club.  Maybe that person would only be able to kill one child.  So how many deaths does it take for a murder to be relevant?  Is a murder only a REAL issue when its a shooting that makes the national news?  Do the other random murders that happen everyday around the world matter less?

What kills more people every year, guns, drugs, or alcohol?  Before you answer that do some research, because we are in a day and age where alcohol is legal, drugs are slowly becoming legal, and guns are our 2nd Ammendment right yet we are creeping toward a point where we are looking for a reason to say "See guns are the problem".  We have to solve the problem, we can't continue to solve the symptoms of the problem.  If you are the captain of a ship, and the boat has a hole, you can't expect to survive by telling your crew to "get more buckets! Bail the water!".  You have to patch the hole, the hole is the problem.  Not the lack of buckets.

That's my entry for today.  I continue to pray for everyone including those victims in New Jersey and Connecticut, Colorado, and all mankind.  God bless us all.

Only Days Left 11/04/12

I heard a joke on Leno the other day that I thought was funny.  This lady walks up to President obama (no he does not get capital letters from me) while he is campaigning in a city and says "Mr. President, I'm trying really hard to keep my job but I'm not sure I'll be able to".  The President responds "Hey lady so am I"...

Yesterday obama was addressing a crowd and when he mentioned Mitt Romney's name, the crowd began to boo, which often happens at campaign rallies.  obama answered the boo's by telling the crowd "Dont' boo, vote!  That's your ultimate revenge".

Let's look at that word.

Re-venge /ri'venj/, Noun: The action of inflicting hurt on someone for a wrong suffered at their hands.  Verb:  Inflict hurt or harm on someone for an injury or wrong done to oneself.

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines "revenge", to avenge (as oneself) usually by retaliating in kind or degree.  To inflict injury in return for (revenge an insult).

What is it about Mitt Romney that obama and his supporters need revenge for?  Dick Morris in his latest e-mail newsletter sent out this morning defined his theory on obama's latest rhetoric.  He says it is class warfare, and that obama views the world as a socialist.  You get alot of obama supporters who almost become angry when you mention the word "communist" or "socialist" in reference to obama, mostly because they have failed to do any research.  They get their education from bumper stickers and campaign commercials.  I've said before that none of this stuff should surprise ANY of us.  obama told us what he was going to do.  For the longest time I was of the mindset that obama came into office saying one thing, and then doing another when he became President.  Many politicians do this.  But as I re-read some of his speeches, and his interviews, and the bills he passed, and the people he is in cohorts with, I realized something.  There was no veil placed over his real intentions when he got into office.  The first speech I remember clearly was the day he was elected, and he addressed the crowds and said "We are going to fundamentally change the United States of America".  Sounds good on paper, right?  If a football coach just hired to coach a team that had a losing record for 4 years, and he addressed the media, and they asked him how he was going to win games and he answered "We are going to fundamentally change the direction of this team", well that sounds great right?  Sure it does.  It sounds good on paper, it sounds uplifting.  Not only has the coach given a legitamate answer to the media, he has also hidden any REAL details of exactly what he is going to do.

In April 2010, obama adressed a crowd in Quincy Illinois about Wall St reform.  This is his exact quote:

"We're not, we're not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that's fairly earned.  I mean, I do think at a certain point you've made enough money.  But you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you're providing a good product or providing a good service.  We don't want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy".

Read the underlined sentence.  "At a certain point you've made enough money".  What does that mean exactly?

Raise your hand if you've ever wanted to be rich.  Ok, put your hands down.  That's a stupid question I realize.  If you start a business, and become extremely successful to the point you become a millionaires or billionaire, is that a bad thing?  Are you a bad person for being successful?  Is it fair that the MORE money you make, the more you are taxed?  Not in dollar amount, but in percentage?  Whether you can afford that or not is not the point.  The point is, should you be punished by the IRS because you built something from the ground up and succeeded?  The fact is 46% of the people in this country pay little or no taxes.  Fact #2:  The top 3% of successful people in this country pay 50% of the total taxes the government takes in.  50%!  Fact #3:  The top 10% of earners pay 90% of the taxes in this country.

Here's what I'm in favor of (bare with me I'm getting back to my point in just a minute).  I'm in favor of a simple tax system that works this way.  I support no income tax for any person.  I support an across the board 24% sales tax on every purchase.  No matter how much you make or who you are or where you are from, you will pay 24% sales tax on every purchase.  If you are rich, you pay $240 for that $1000 washer/dryer set you just bought.  If you buy a $10 meal at Burger King, you pay $2.40 in taxes.  If you are an illegal alien, you will pay $24 in taxes for that $100 pair of Nikes.  If you are a drug dealer, you pay $24,000 in taxes for that $100,000 house you just bought.   If you are a tourist from overseas, you pay $48 in taxes for that $200 hotel room.  Everyone pays the same amount (in percentage) despite how much you make or spend.  Back to my point.

obama said "at some point you've made enough money", so here's my question.  How much money is that?  Where is the cut-off for "enough"?  Is it $500,000?  $1 million?  $1 billion?  How much is "enough" obama?  obama often campaigns with Jay-Z, has Jay-Z made enough money Mr. President?  How about Donald Trump?  How about Lebron James?  How about Apple?  Or Samsung?  Kraft Foods?  McDonalds?  WalMart?  Amazon?  He has clearly laid out his philosophy.  What he hasn't defined is the dollar amount that equals "enough".

That's a strong statement that resonates with alot of people.  If you are addressing a large crowd of poor and (most likely) underachieveing people and you say "Don't you think those fat-cats have made enough money?"  the crowd will scream "YES!".  I suppose I couldn't blame them;  they are probably miserable people who feel like victims, or better yet are TOLD they are victims.

It gets back to a mindset of this administration and democrats, and moreso liberals.  They want to solve the symptoms of a problem; they don't want to solve the REAL problem.  Let me explain...

Obama plan for the deficit and unemployment:

Problem:  The govt is spending more than it is taking in, they need more revenue.  Unemployed people in this country is over 23 million and rising.

Solution:  Raise taxes on the rich, extend unemployment benefits to 29 weeks, increase the number of people on food stamps from 35 million people to 47 million people, give people free cell phones, force banks to give loans to people knowing they could never afford the payments, Cash for Clunkers, borrow money from China to pay for all of it.

Romney plan for the deficit and unemployment:

Problem:  23 million unemployed people, 35% corporate tax on business's, obamacare forcing business's to close and laying off workers

Solution:  Lower the corporate tax rate so business's want to build here in America and hire workers, eliminate obamacare so small-business's can expand and hire more workers.  If those 23 million Americans who are out of work had a job they would pay taxes and spend money, thus growing the economy.  The business's those people spend their money at would make MORE money and hire more people.  Expand drilling in the US so gas isn't $4/gallon and people could keep more of their OWN money.  Those oil wells would also hire thousands of people.  More gas stations would open and more people would be hired.  Expand more digging for coal.  Those coal mines would hire more people, produce more coal, and electric rates would become lower, thus allowing people to spend more of their OWN money because their electric bill is lower.

We can't continue to encourage those who are unemployed, underemployed, or who just don't care that the government is the answer to every problem.  You know the old saying, "Why buy the cow if the milk is free?".  Why get a job if you can get unemployment for 29 weeks?  Why save money and get a cell phone if you can get a free obama phone?  Why look for a job if you can be on food stamps for the majority of your life?  It's all free, right?  The answer is no, and I know you realize that.

My point of this problem is something I've stated before many times on this site.  The government tells you that these programs are here to help us get on our feet and eventually become independent and can provide for ourselves.  It sounds nice at face value.  And the fact is some people DO temporarily use these programs and eventually get on their feet and make it.  The other side of this coin is, a MAJORITY of people in these programs DO NOT use them as a stepping stone, they use it as a crutch and milk it as long as they can.  And the government loves this and encourages it, because in reality they don't want these problems to ever go away.

A second point I'd like to make is the deficit and the debt.  They sound like the same thing but they are not.  The deficit is the yearly increase over the actual intake in revenue per year that the government takes in.  The debt is the accumulative total over X number of years leading to a total.  The total debt is $16 trillion accumulated over a numbers of years and a number of presidents.  The deficit is the yearly -$2 trillion added every year, the most being under the obama administration.  Bottom line is obama spends $2 trillion more every year than the tax revenues the government brings in every year.  He supplements the difference by asking China to invest in government bonds, which is essentially an IOU.

My theory is this:  obama doesn't want more people to get back to work, because if they DO then they don't need government help (solving symptoms of the problem, not solving the REAL problem), obama doesn't want the economy to get better because people become more independent and don't need hand-outs.  It's part of a bigger plan called the Cloward-Piven theory.  I'm sure none of you have heard of it so check the link below.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloward%E2%80%93Piven_strategy

If you don't have the time to check the link I will sum it up for you.  Basically the Cloward-Piven theory is a negative economic plan that states than when a governing body is failing economically and socially, the best thing to do is to force unrealistic economic situations on that governing body, forcing it to collapse thus ensuring a complete government take-over of that entity.  So if a country is struggling financially, force more bad stuff on it so it collapses.  That's the "in a nut shell" explanation although it is deeper than that.  I urge you to research the link above, but I realize you have more important things to do than to read every link on the Net.  I do appreciate the time you have taken to read this entry so far. I tend to ramble on at times, thank you for your patience.

In closing today, once again, I'd like to thank you for your interest in my blog.  I realize I tend to jump from point to point, but I do my best to try to get back to my bottom line when typing my entries.  We have less than 48 hours from today to decide one of three things.

1)  I will vote for obama

2)  I will vote for Mitt Romney

3)  I will not vote

The worst thing you can do is #3.  If you don't cast a vote for ANY candidate, you have relinquished your right to have an opinion on anything.  Voting isn't a law, you will not face penalties if you don't vote, you will not be sentenced to jail time.  If you choose not to vote that is certainly your right.  But in doing so you have given up your right to make a differrence or support a candidate or change Washington or your state or local government.  And that's absolutely up to you, no one will force you to go to the polls.

In the 1770's George Washington lead his troops in a battle during one of the most gruesome battles against the British.  It happened in Valley Forge PA.  Even more horrible were the conditions that winter that our troops endured.  The winter conditions were brutal.  We didn't have trained and well armed troops, we had farmers and young boys, many of which didn't make it during the gun battles, and many who didn't survive the winter conditions with inferior clothing and shelter.  Many men died from hypothermia and frost bite, some lost arms and legs from the bitter cold, alot of them were left to die because we had no other choice.  They did this because they wanted American's to have the right to vote and elect officials.  They did it because they wanted to have a say about taxation.  They did it because they opposed British troops stationed in every home (see the Quartering Act).  They did it because they wanted the freedom to worship any religion as they chose without fear of persecution or death.

Many people who are aware of these facts don't necessarily give it a second thought now.  I mean, it was a long time ago, right?  That was then, this is now, right?  Wrong.  Those great patriots sacrificed life and limb for the things we have today.  Many of us can barely stand in line for concert tickets in the freezing cold for a few hours.  Those men back then spent years fighting and dying in terrible weather conditions against a superior army force that outnumbered them 10-1.  And they won that war.  Not for them, but for us.

If you take anything from this blog, then remember this.  Vote on Tuesday Nov 6th.  I don't care who you vote for, but vote.  Obviously I don't support obama, but I DO NOT hate those who do.  It's your right and your decision.  If you don't exercise that right then you give it up.

Rush Limbaugh said it best a few months ago.  During one of his radio broadcasts he said "We can survive another 4 more years of obama.  What we can't survive is another 4 years of the people that support him".  I agree.  I'm not sure what happened exactly, or when it happened, but its gotten bad.  After 9/11 we were all Americans and all united, and in a matter of a few years things got bad, and the hate got even worse.  After all the great things this country has proven it can do and be, is this what we have to show for it?  Is this what our forefathers envisioned?  That you have the right to free speech as long as you agree with a certain political party or mindset?  That you have the right to make a certain amount of money as long as you don't make TOO much?  I don't agree with the Black Panthers points of view, but I DO NOT want their opinions to be suppressed anymore than I would of the KKK.  Freedom of speech is a very touchy subject to me, considering that some have proposed laws stating that ciriticism of obama whether online, in books, in newspapers, or in blogs should be reviewed and censored when "they" deem necessary.  Rapper Ice-T said it best, "Freedom of speech, just watch what you say".

It's your decision on Nov 6th.

Sorry it's been awhile...let's talk debates 10/17/12

If you've read any of my articles in the past, many of you know I often attribute many aspects in life to football.  For those who know me, I'm a big college football fan.  College football ranks right up there with food and beer (not necessarily in that order).   But I do have a serious point to make so bare with me.

The debates have obviously been given alot of media coverage, and rightfully so.  Not only have the debates energized the base of both parties, but the true personalities of the candidates have shown.  There's been alot of facts thrown around that many of us don't understand.  Not only because the debates move fast and the media spins everything, but the truth is many of us don't bother to research facts;  we just take what some random news anchor tells us at face value and run with it.  And that's what they hope we will do.  It's become part of our culture to believe what we see on TV and in the newspapers.  And even more so now on the internet.  (Speaking of the internet, google "UN internet tax".  It's the digital version of cap and trade).  There was a day and age where the world was told that the earth was flat.  And people were actually demagogued if they didn't believe it.  There was a day and age where people were told that the sun revolved around the earth.  People who didn't believe that were scoffed at and ridiculed.  There was a day and age when people were told that the forward pass would never work in football.  Try telling that to Pop Warner.  Or Dan Marino.  My point is a bigger picture, and I need you to step back and look at it.  Just for 2 minutes, set aside everything that sways your mind choices and think about the psychology of the things that "people" tell us are true.  Let me get to my football analogy.

I love college football, that's no secret.  Football is the epitome of life.  Ever heard someone at work say "Man you dropped the ball on that one!".  That's sport reflecting life.  People say "wow you dropped the ball", but a receiver who misses a pass literally drops the ball.  Ever heard someone say "Wow you struck out on that one!"...  They weren't referring to that person actually stepping up to home plate and swinging at a baseball, but it's a common analogy we can all understand.  Ok, let me get to my point.  How many times have you watched a game, seen the ref throw a flag for a penalty and the whole stadium boos?  Of course we all have.  And then they show the replay and everyone in the stadium can see it's an obvious penalty, yet they continue to boo the refs.  It happens every weekend during every game.  And despite the replay showed on the big jumbo-tron screen, the home fans still refuse to believe it.  Let me get to my point.

Liberals, democrats, and ESPECIALLY progressives are alot like those home fans at the football game.  They want their side to win, and not only are they blatantly rude about their opinions, they refuse to believe the facts even when you show them (See Flat Earth Society).  It's not that they DON'T believe the facts, it's the fact that the facts don't fit within their agenda.  They would rather see lies perpatrated on society than to see their point of view compromised by the truth, and that's sad.  More so it's evil.

I've said since 2008 that we are all being fooled.  Hope and change.  Forward.  Four more years.  Spread the wealth.  Joe the Plumber.  The DREAM Act.  Obamacare.  Wall Street "fat cats".  Oil company profits.  Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  Libya.  Tripoli.  The bin laden raid.  The arab spring.  The Keystone pipeline.  Gas prices.  obama's golf game.  Michelle obama's elaborate trips overseas every 3 weeks.  Solyndra.  SEIU.  Electric cars.  Wind and solar power.  Global warming.  "I'll cut the deficit in half in my first term".  The rich need to pay their fair share.  Free obama cell phones.  Obama quote: "At some point you've made enough money".  Food stamps.  Unemployment benefits for 29 weeks.  Fast and Furious (no not the movie).  23 million Americans out of work.  $90 billion of stimulus tax payer money given to green energy companies who filed for bankruptcy.  Quote from Steven Chu, obama's secretary of energy:  "We need to figure out a way to push gas prices up to $7 or $8 a gallon like in Europe".  Obama wants the BCS to "not" use the word National Championship until they implement a playoff system (do we need the fed govt for that seriously?).  Black Panthers at voting polls holding billy clubs.  Voter fraud by ACORN.  (By the way, obama was formerly a lawyer for ACORN).  Reverend Jeremiah Wright.  Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner filing a false tax return.  DOJ suing Arizona Gov Jan Brewer and Sherriff Joe Airpoa over immigration laws.  Tony Rezko (look that one up).  obama bowing to the Saudi king.  obama whispering to Medvedev off camera about missiles.  Lack of support for Israel.  William Ayers (another one to look up for those who are uninformed).  "If you try to build a coal plant you will go bankrupt".  "People should paint their roof white"  (I am not making this stuff up).  Michelle obama:  "America is a down-right mean country".  obama campaigning for the olympics to be in Chicago, on land owned by his business partner, just a coincidence I'm sure (the Olympics were awarded to Rio DeJaneiro Brazil).  Statue of Winston Churchill in the Oval Office being boxed up and sent back to England (do your research).  Tax payer money going to Planned Parenthood to fund abortions for girls as young as 12 years old without their parents consent.  Big Bird, like who watches that anymore?  Ever heard obama's comments on Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans?  The muslin brotherhood in Washington DC (don't believe me?  Look it up).  FEMA camps and the mysterious coffins.  The national weather service buying millions of rounds of 40 cal hollow point ammo (what do they plan to shoot?  Clouds?).  Social Security Administration buying millions of rounds of 40 cal hollow point bullets (who are they gonna shoot?  Retired seniors?).  Where was obama during the benghazi attacks?  (Las Vegas).  How many times has Richard Trumpke visited the White House?  How about William Ayers?  How much money did the United Way donate to obama in 2008?  The lawyer attack on Sarah Palin in 2008.  The liberal media (nuff said).  The Tea Party being classified as a militia group.  Gun owners put on a govt watchlist.  Bloggers classified as radicals (never mind the 1st ammendment).  Children in schools scolded by their teachers for supporting Romney.  Social Justice, what is that?  I could go on.

I'm sorry if I went off on a tangent, it was my heartfelt feelings about issues and I hope I didn't lose your attention.  If you took the time to actually read through my above paragraph I'd like to thank you, and I also want to say this:  Don't believe me, do your own research.  Look online, read books, go to the library, talk to a history professor, talk to your minister, meditate and come up with your own theories, do whatever you gotta do.  None of what I said is lies but I don't want you to take a blog at face value.  I challenge you to educate yourself.  There's a difference between opinions and facts, and the problem with our culture is that people in high-profile positions (Hollywood, media, politics, educational institutions) have the upper edge on the vessels with which we get our information.

Just remember, there was a day when everyone in the world believed the earth was flat.

This entry was dedicated to Lois.

 I'm Back Everyone! 08/09/2012

Recently my grandfather passed away (thank you who offer prayers, it is very appreciated).   As myself and all my family members were sifting through my grandparents belongings, most of the time in the basement, my father came across a set of keys.  Some of the keys were useless, but eventually he found out that one of the keys opened a metal cabinet in the basement that my grandfather used for projects.  He was a gunsmith in WW2 and a gemologist and he made knives such as for hunting and fishing.  So as you can imagine this was like our family version of Raiders of the Lost Ark.  As my father is looking through this cabinet as my cousins and my brother and myself are carrying furniture up flights of steps, my father says "Hey Brian come here!".

So obviously like anyone would do I dropped the dresser I was carrying up the steps with my cousin and it crushed him and he died.  Stop.  That didn't happen.  I finished what I was doing and walked back down to the basement.  My grandparents basement was very nice, it had an office and a laundry room, but more more importantly it had my grandfather's workshop, which for many years as a kid seemed like an absolute wonderful array of things that made me dream and imagine.  He had every tool, he showed me how to make fishing lures, and how to use a saw, explained what calipers were used for, we had a chalk board down there and we would draw out things and talk and ask and learn, he was a great man and I miss him every day.  Back to the story.

During the disarray of a death in the family and the scramble for all of us to wrap our minds arround what happened my younger brother and my cousins continued to carry things out to the dumpster or the trailer, sometimes which ever came first.  My father called from the basement "Brian get down here!".

Of couse hearing this we all came running because we thought something was wrong, maybe he hurt his back or fell, my father has had double knee replacement surgery so that was our first thought.

As we all ran downstairs to the basement we see my father holding a key, like a key to a lock.  I remember seeing the key in his hand, it was an old key like you see in cartoons like to a treasure chest, like an old fashion key.  It had a copper circle key chain on it, and my father handed it to me.

As I stood there and that key laid in my palm I realized everything.  I realized that was the last time I would ever step foot in that home of my grandparents.  I remember when I was a kid and thinking that all my family and friends and favorite pets would always be around.  I realized that I was now a true adult and that when it comes time for my father to go, I will have to be the one to do it.  It all happened in 5 seconds.

I looked down at the key ring, and it was copper.  But it wasn't just copper, it was REAL copper, solid and polished. It was engraved by hand.  It said "Brian's Treasure Chest".  I chuckled at first, I recognized my granpa's handwriting so I brushed it off at first.  Then I started looking at the key more closely as I tried to sort out my emotions.  The key was like a cartoon pirate treasure chest key at first glance, then as I examined it I saw grind marks and file marks (you could see the exposed silver metal).  My brother stood beside me as I looked at it.

As we both stood there my brother Todd said "Do you remember the treasure chests he made for us when we were kids?"

It was a weird moment, like the kind of moment you have in a deep sleep where everything is crazy and one moment you are running away from monsters and the next second you are in a parade with marching bands and friends you've never met.

I vaguely remember my grandfather and that treasure chest that day, I sorta remember him asking me what I want to put in it, obviously my brother did too that day.

I never found my treasure chest.  We found a metal detector in the basement while going through my grandfathers possesions, and I often wonder if that was a sign. We never had time to use it, but life goes on.

So I work and strive everyday, and not every day is a good day at first, but then I think about it realize that good or bad, I always have the key.  I'm Brian, and I approve this message.

Burnin' Down the House 02/26/12

So the protests in Afghanistan continue.  In case you haven't heard. the protests are due to what might be an accidental burning of the Koran at a U.S. military base.  So far the riots have continued for well over 5  days, multiple people have been killed and and many more injured and wounded.

I have a question.

If a Bible had been burned somewhere in the world, do you think Christians would riot and protest and kill people?

Biden is at it again 08/23/11

Well, vice president joe biden is at it again (In case you haven't read any of my previous posts, I refuse to capitalize any letters in the names of anyone in this current administration).  Recently on a trip to China biden says "I understand your one child boys only law..."

Really joe?

Let's talk about some history and why communist China got to this point, because for those who don't know, this practice has been happening for decades.

China enacted this law because back in the day (years and years back in the day) the country was having trouble feeding and clothing and sheltering its people.  It got so bad that at times children died from starvation, some of them were abandoned, elderly relatives were left to die or exist in squalor, and the Chinese government realized they had a huge problem on their hands.  This is THE MOST classic example of why socialism and communism does NOT WORK, and never has, because eventually you run out of other people's money.  So to correct what was, at the time, an over population problem, the Chinese government made it law that families would have a limit on the number of children a family could have.   Once again, a classic socialistic mistake to correct the "symptoms" of the problem, but not correct the REAL problem.

Let me explain a little further.

Symtpom of the problem:  We have too many citizens

The REAL problem:  Our system of revenue is broken and socialism isn't working

Here's my key comment once again....  Think about it!

I heard a saying when I was a kid, I can't remember exactly where I heard it but it always stuck with me...  "It's not about how much you make, it's about how much you spend".

It seems simple, and most people in the world would agree that it's true and a good practice to live by.  Except for our world leaders, and people in governments across the globe, and many of the people in OUR government right now as we speak!

Ok I'm a big college football fan, so let's use an analogy....

Team A is leading 35-0.... Team B is in a major hole obviously...

The coach for Team B tells his troops "Ok team, the problem isn't that we are not playing defense well enough, the problem is we aren't scoring enough points..."

obama doesn't think we are spending too much, he actually thinks we aren't taxing enough.  46% of the people in this country don't pay any kind of income tax, yet 3% of the people in this country pay a MAJORITY of all taxes in this country (i.e. You eventually run out of other people's money, remember that).  Is there any correlation that 46 million people are on obama food stamps right now?  Just a thought since both numbers are 46 (read above).

My point seems sarcastic as I'm sure it always does, but it's also true.  Every one of us gets our check every month, we budget our weeks and our months, we plan our bill payments, and live our lives.  I have never once maxed out a credit card and then called Visa and asked for a credit raise, yet our own elected government time and time again has raised our debt ceiling without asking us.  It's not how much you make, it's how much you spend, I'll say it again.

Back to China...

So what does this all have to do with the "one child" law in China?  Eventually over the years (after millions of people died) China realized their economic revenue system was not working and instead of changing their values and concepts, they decided to, in a communist way, fix "symptoms" of the problem, thus they passed a law limiting the number of children a family could have.  Of course I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that they were running out of income earners they could tax so they decided to eliminate (using laws and forced abortions) the people who depended on that tax money.  Are you with me so far?

The biggest problem that is now hitting home with China (and may soon come to the US, check local listings in your area!) is that China is running out of income earners that can support female family members, children, elderly, and those who don't work and are dependent on social programs.  Instead of working out revenue issues their answer is to eliminate those who depend on them.  Its the proverbial rob from Peter to pay Paul, except Peter just sterilizes Paul and then kills him.  Insanity.

I'm done for tonight, new blog in a few days.  Stay Tuned.

 The Latest 08/17/11

So now the GOP race has started, and so has the obama canadian-made super huge bus tour.  I suppose our campaigner-in-chief couldn't have found an American company to make this multi-million dollar super secure bus.  I wonder if he even tried?

Let's run down the last few months:

The Arab spring was created by the fall of middle eastern leaders, all the while being encouraged by our campaigner-in-chief

- Eric Holder our DOJ attorney general has denied knowing ANYTHING about Operation Fast and Furious even though American citizens and law enforcement agents have been killed by the VERY guns our government sold to Mexian drug cartels

- obama says unemployment is better than when he took office.  When obama took office unemployment was at 7.6%.  It is now at 9.3%, and african-american employment is over 15%.

- obama has claimed we have turned around the economy and avoided a depression.  Would you say you agree?  Think about it.

- Have you heard about bedbugs invading homes, hotels, apartment buildings, and business's?  Have you wondered why?  It's because obama's EPA agency has banned the use of chemicals and pesticides that kill them.  Bedbugs carry the killer disease "mursa".

- Did you hear Joe Biden call the Tea party members "Terrorists" and "Hostage Takers"?

- I could go on and on, but why bother...   Enjoy your 3 week vacation in Martha's Vineyard barack and michelle, we'll see you in September at your "Jobs Speech".

Is my point hitting home?  If it's not then you are either ignorant, a democrat, a liberal, a socialist, or a communist.  Speaking of those labels, has anyone noticed the people that obama surrounds himself with?  By the way, the Communist Party USA has officially endorsed obama as their candidate for the 2012 election.   No big deal, right?

The writing on the wall has been there for 3 years.  The debt amount has been there for 3 years.  The lack of a plan on jobs, immigration, taxes, border security, home loans, energy, market security, social security, medicare, medicaid, education, health care, retirement, cars, our wars as well as many other issues are defunct.  Where are you Mr. President?  Where are your ideas?!?!  You're waiting until Sept this year to make a speech on TV about creating a Dept of Jobs?!?  Its the bottom of the 9th inning obama, too late.

But in classic liberal fashion the left points fingers, blames Bush, and manipulates facts using their pre-paid media.  The unfortunate fact is that the math always catches up to them.  And that's exactly what has happened.  9.3% vs 7.6%, eat that one obama!

Ok, here's my Bin Laden spiel... 05/03/2011

Ok, I'm kinda torn on this issue and this will be a long blog; there's alot to explain, alot to analyze, alot to theorize about, and alot to be skeptical about it.  I will try to explain my angle using personal opinions combined with facts and outside opinions, please bare with me and do your own research.

(My apologies I haven't posted in a few weeks)

Ok let's just start with the media facts... Usama Bin Laden is dead and once again obama has pulled off one of the greatest media miracles of all time.  I use the term "media miracle" because facts are sketchy, theories exist, and obama is in campaign mode. (I compare this to his health care signing bill when he had that young black gentleman stand by his side to witness it, google it if you don't know what I'm referring to).  I hope my pessimism is wrong, I am from a military family and our military are heroes and should be treated as such forever.  But as soon as I heard Usama was killed I was immediately suspicious.   Let me explain.

In 2008, Benazir Butto of Pakistan, a muslin woman who was voted into power by her own people made a stunning statement about the origins of power in her country, she made statements about the groups involved, and claimed Usama Bin Laden was dead years ago.  Check out the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnychOXj9Tg

Can we hear testimony from Benazir now?  No, unfortunately she has been murdered herself, another case of sharia influence that is slowly infiltrating our Western way of life (reference usama's burial at sea).

Lets's continue.

Ok, let's cover some basics.  For years now we have suspected UBL (I will use these initials to refer to Usama Bin Laden from now) has been in Pakistan.  We have cooperated with Pakistan for years and have considered them allies of sorts.  We have traded military intelligence with them for years and leaders of both countries have "supposedly" been in contact on international security issues.  Or have they?

The Pakistani equivalent of West Point Academy was just hundreds of yards from UBL's compound, which from the sattelite pictures I've seen looks like the arabic version of Area 51 (or maybe Donald Trump's Florida home).  You may read this and say "Brian is just a smart a$$"....  Short answer "yes"...  Long answer "Yesssssssss!"

(Side Note, this gets back to Iran in the big picture)

Ok, let's talk politics....  Is it possible UBL was dead years ago?  When is the last time we saw a video from him?  Ok I know I know...and I get it, our military and intelligence is so good we just shut him down, game over.  I hope that is true.  Is there any chance this was political?  No chance, you say?  Ok, check this out:

http://www.prisonplanet.com/inside-sources-bin-ladens-corpse-has-been-on-ice-for-nearly-a-decade.html

Please do your own research and don't take what I or the media tells you at face value (Thank you for the links Judy).

I need to make a point... obama's approval rating jumped from 39% to 56% in one day from the UBL kill.  Say what you will, he rode on the coat-tails of George W's policies.  And thats a fact.  If you liberal progressives disagree then think about this....

How is it wrong to water-board terrorists, but its ok to kill them?  Think about it.  I guarantee you socialist progressives have loaded your gun with this UBL ammo and your praising of the Annointed One, along with the liberal media and your blind union fundraising and support.  Whatever it takes, the ends justifies the means right Cas Sunstein and Bill Ayers and Richard Trumpke?

WRONG!

(Research Cloward-Piven if you haven't already)

My point is made.

I'm Brian and I approve this message.

What's in YOUR wallet?  04/20/2011

Sorry that it's been a few days since I posted, my regular job has kept me busy, but I want to talk about a new proposal that has a "back-door" twist.  obama (it's not a typo, he gets no capital letters from me) has proposed that a new law for companies or corporations that may receive government contracts.  It's quite simple actually (and if you listened to obama's campaing speeches in 2008, he is doing what he said he would do.  The problem is know one knew what "fundamental change" really was until it happened).  Let's continue.

obama is proposing that any business/company/corporation that may possibly be considered for a government contract reveal where they receive any political money from and reveal any political affiliation they may have.  Basically obama wants to know what political party the company supports before he rewards them with a government contract.

Ok, as usual I have an analogy, or moreso an example of rhetoric.

Let's say a company in Michigan needed to hire a distributor for its products.  They interviewed a few company owners, and finally the Michigan company's owners decided on a distributor.  After looking over every prospect they decided that this distribtuor was the best business move to distribute their products.  In the final interview, the company asked the distributor what their favorite college football team was.  The distributor answers "I am an Ohio State alum and donate to the college every year".  Because of this answer, the Michigan company declines the services from the distribution company, even though it would have been the most sound business decision.  Instead the Michigan company chooses another dsitributor who charges higher prices and poor service based solely on the fact that they like the Michigan Wolverines.  In turn, the Michigan company loses profits and customers because of a partisan decision.  Their stock value drops and eventually they have to close 2 plants and lay-off 1500 workers because they have lost their edge over their closest competition.

If it sounds childish, you are right.

Ok you liberals/democrats/socialists/left-wingers/in-the-tank-for-obama media members/college kids who think they have the answers cuz they've watched Michael Moore and Al Gore movies, here's the truth:

Before you start with your argument just stop.  Stop.  And I don't care what lame argument you have to bring to the table because it is irrelevant (yes, that was "irrevelant", I'm sure you are surprised that a conservative actually has a vocabulary).  Are you actually going to tell yourself that you'd rather see a government contract awarded to a company because they donated more money to the socialist democrats?  You would base that decision on a political partisan alone, and not on who could provide the best service?  THIS IS YOUR TAX DOLLARS TOO!  Would you rather pay higher taxes for poor service because of political affiliation and get a substandard product, than to put political views aside and pay less taxes and receive a higher quality product?    If you have answered yes then I say you are insane.  That's akin to saying "I'd pay more for McDonalds than to ever eat at Red Lobster because they support Democrats".  Let me repeat my point:  That is INSANITY!

Yes Mr. Liberal in the back row, I hear you jumping up and down screaming "But you have a choice to eat at McDonald's or Red Lobster!", and you are right.  My answer?  If the government chooses a substandard government contract because of partisan views, the TAXPAYERS DON'T HAVE A CHOICE!  Think about it!  And YOU are a TAXPAYER TOO!  Do you feel someone else can better decide what they do with your money, or can you decide what you spend it on?  If you answer "they can decide" then the Socialist Party will gladly take your application.  I hope you get the job haha Wink.

Ok folks, that's all for now, I'm going to Red Lobster.

Burning Korans, and the budget 04/02/11

I'm trying to understand a few things that are going on in the latest world-current-events reporting.  Let's start with the Koran burnings at a church in Florida.  A pastor recently staged a Koran burning, complete with a large sign stating "National Koran Burning Day" (or something similar).  Do I condone the act of this pastor?  I do not, however there is nothing illegal about it, as his actions are protected by our Constitution.  Hamid Karzai has called for the US and the UN to condemn the act of burning the Koran, even suggesting that either the US or UN step in and forcefully stop the pastor and condemn his acts.  I don't agree with the pastor's actions and words.  Equally I do not agree with Louis Farrakahn or the KKK, but free speech is a protected right and is not specific to the message.  (Remember, if you take a right away from a person or group, you have ALSO taken that right away from yourself).  Now here is where the irony kicks in.  In protest to the Koran burning, people in Afghanistan have been rioting for 2 days, attacking innocent people, killing more than 20.  Suicide bombers, some of which were disguised women, have blown themselves up in crowded public areas and near NATO headquarters in the region killing innocent uninvolved people.  If muslims want the world to see that they as a whole are non-violent peaceful people then why would they perpetrate such heiness acts, some of which have killed many of their own people?  It's the hypocrisy that I am trying to understand.  Why aren't more muslim speaking out against Al Qeada and the Taliban?  Why don't more good muslims speak out against decriable treatment of women in the muslim world, or against "honor killings"?  These are a few of the many questions that the Western world would like answers to.  Until I hear answers to some of these questions, then I will support anyone's right to burn a Koran, a right that is protected by our Constitution.

    == // ==

The word "budget" has become quite a loose term within our current administration.  As of the writing of this blog, Obama and company have until April 8th to agree with the GOP controlled congress on a proposed budget.  The Tea Party and the GOP want budget cuts.  The Obama mafia wants to twist words and do back room deals.  The law states that any proposed bill must be made public on-line atleast 3 days before any deal is reached.  So in actuality the Obama mafia has until April 5th to come up with a budget.  And the mud-slinging has begun.  Democrats (or are they liberals, or maybe even progressive socialists?) are now making claims that the GOP budget cuts will kill 70,000 children.  I am not even going to get into the rhetoric with which they make their false and baseless claims, I urge you to research the details on your own.  I will however point out that this is a CLASSIC liberal media tactic, a fact you will learn upon researching this absurd claim.  The people that this kind of message is intended to reach are those people who take this claim at face value, do no research as to its validity, and consequently hate and loathe the GOP.  Its a classic Cas Sunstein move:  Marginalize, isolate, demonize.  It's a common practice that the progressives use to train their people, and the liberal media loves every minute of it.  Let's get back to the point, the budget.

On April 8th, if an agreement is not made, the federal government will shut down.  Literally.  People will not receive paychecks (awww what a pity), and offices will be empty.  Ask yourself this:  If the fed shut downs, would you really care?  No disrespect to anyone who works for or has family/friends employed by the government, but the sad but true reality is that those people work for us and are paid by our tax dollars.  If you're a democratic staffer and your boss is voted out of office, unfortunately you are also out of a job.  As my grandmother used to say "That's the way the cookie crumbles".  My father worked 20+ years for the state of Ohio Department of Natural Resources.  He was also a registered Republican.  When Ted Strickland became governor the demographic of employees at my fathers office changed, as did the political influence.  My father was in his early 60's, and while completely capable still of doing his job at a high level, he felt pressured to find another line of work, surely because of his political affiliation, possibly because of his age and skin color.  Am I accusing anyone of racism?  Ya know, I'm not sure.  But I do know that my father mentioned comments he would hear from co-workers.  I would hope that they were just isolated incidents and poor choices of words spoken by shallow people.  I hope.

So that's a wrap folks, April 8th is the day.  If something isn't agreed upon, then the fed will shut down. And personally, I could care less.

Here's my prediction 03/17/2011 (Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!)

I've got a prediction (and hopefully I'm wrong) but I have a feeling about this one.  As we all know there is an energy crisis in this country, not to mention a crisis globally.  We KNOW we have reserves of oil as well as untapped masses of oil on our own continent.  (FYI:  Over 100 requests for oil drilling permits have been submitted to the obama administration in the last 2 years.  Only 1 has been approved.  Think about it.  To me that seems like he's "throwing us a bone")  We ALSO KNOW that nuclear energy can power millions of homes at a much greater rate than fossil fuels.  And lastly we DEFINATELY KNOW that the United States is like the "Saudi Arabia" of coal.   Is there any doubt prices of everything will go up in the near future?   You can dismiss this point if you'd like;  feel free to call me a fear-mongering conspiracy theorist.  In addition, obama continues to print money which deflates the value of our dollar.  Wait until the world switches to another form of currency as the world currency.  Ok I'm rambling, lets get to the point.

My prediction is that the obama administration is going to use the BP oil spill as a scape-goat reason for not drilling.   In addition he will use the disaster in Japan as a reason to argue against nuclear energy (reference Energy Secretary Steven Chu).  We haven't had a global disaster with coal yet (no disrespect to coal miners who have been trapped in mines in recent years,  my statement is meant as no disrespect to those families and friends who have lost loved ones in that field of work),  and I pray to God we don't because that's the last piece of the puzzle this "green" administration needs to ram "fantasy fuels" down our throat.  Don't even argue ethanol, if we used every kernel of corn we have in the country JUST FOR FUEL alone (no food use) we would supply 11% of the cars in our nation with fuel.  Electric cars you say?  Gee I'd love to have $44,000+ for a car like that, that is until I get my monthly electric bill.  You think those public electric car charging stations aren't going to be paid for by raising our residential electric rates?  Nothing is free my friend.

Consider this point.  The government makes around $.50+ per gallon of gas in taxes that we pump into our cars.  Imagine if the 300 million people in the US suddenly had enough money to buy an electric car.   How much money would that cost the obama administration?  Here's my guess:  None.  The reason I say none is because they will replace the gas tax with another tax on electric/ethanol/hydrogen/battery powered cars, as well as anything else they can justify.  My point is I don't think the government wants everyone driving cars that run on anything except gasoline because they lose tax dollars with which they have promised for programs already.  Sound like a Catch-22?  I'd describe it as more like a "green-progressive hamster wheel".

Let's do a quick run down:

If there was no unemployment, how would the progressives justify their entitlement programs and bailouts?

If there was no disease, how would they justify the billions in tax dollars they rake in to look for cures?

If everyone could pay their mortgage, how would they justify Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?

If every student got good grades, how could they justify the Dept of Education?

If everyone could make ends meet, then how would they justify the welfare system?

If there were no single mothers how would they justify Planned Parenthood?

If everyone lived within his/her means how would they justify Section 8/HUD housing?

If everyone spent within a range of what they could take in, how could they justify the bankruptcy program?

What if UPS and FedEx got better at delivering mail than the Post Office?  Oh wait, thats already a fact.

Here's my point:  Read all the above "what ifs", take it with a grain of salt.  The government tells us these programs are designed to help people in these situations get out of the situation.  But think about it...  If these programs actually helped people get out of all of these situations, imagine the tax money the government would be unable to collect because "the job was done".  The reality is that they DO NOT want these situations to ever go away because at that point they've lost their justification for ANY of these programs.   Its a superficial way of solving the symptoms of the problem.

Is it any wonder the obama administration is in the tank for unions?

    My Maine Man! 03/08/2011

It appears that obama-care is unraveling every day.  Just today it was announced that the WHOLE state of Maine gets a waiver on obama-care.  How is it that congrees can grant waivers to certain business's and cities and states, yet when a state votes to not implement the health care law due to its unconstitutionality the federal government rejects the ruling.  It makes no sense to me and to most of America.  How can you grant waivers to one group, yet force this bill on other groups?  Like most proposals that have come from this conniving rookie administration this may be the most hypocritical.

    ==//==

Have you been to the gas pump lately?  If so, then you know that it hasn't gotten cheaper over the last few weeks, mostly due to speculation about affairs in the middle east.  So what has the obama-mafia done to ease the situation?  Have they considered opening our oil reserves?   Have they considered drilling more?  Do I really need to tell you the answer to either of those questions?

Here's a fact:  In September 2008 Energy Secretary Steven Chu told the Wall Street Journal that (quote) "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe". (unquote).  At the time of that statement gasoline was $8.00 a gallon in Europe.  This is obama's Energy Secretary today as we speak, and he wants to force us to use more green energy by jacking up the price of our gasoline (another reason they refuse to drill or tap oil reserves).  The obama administration is actually embracing the fact that gas prices have gone up, and in fact they want the price to go even higher.  Don't take my word for it, listen to them in their own words!  These are the leaders of our country, this is what our tax dollars are paying for?  Do you feel like you are getting your moneys-worth from Washington?

    The Budget Cuts 03/04/2011

Well, the newest battle is upon us.  As if we needed another one.  The GOP vs the Dems in the budget debate is the latest (I will get to the Wisconsin union debate later in this post).  So let's use some liberal democratic logic and really delve into the obama administrations arguments.

Ok, lets say you have a son or daughter and they ask you for a new car, and you say no.  According to the liberal democrats you have just made a budget cut of $10,000 in a new car purchase.  This is the fuzzy math the dems are using.  They are claiming that requests for money that aren't granted are budget cuts!   Its akin to the old wall street adage that so-n-so company lost $12 million last quarter.   The fact of the matter is the company actually MADE money that quarter, but they fell short of their expectations to their shareholders by $12 million.  When you hear this rhetoric from the dems at face value, like when they say they have cut "this many millions" of dollars it sounds great.  It makes them sound responsible.  However when you learn that the budget cuts were actually REQUESTS for more money that were withdrawn, the picture becomes clear.  They weren't budget cuts at all!  They were withdrawn requests for more money!  Do your own research before you take the liberal medias biased statements at face value.

    ==//==

    Ok, let's talk Wisconsin.

Have you ever had a child that you allotted an allowance to based on grades, chores, housework, etc etc?  Take for instance, the possibility that because of your household budget you had to ask your child to pay for their own car insurance due to finances.  If in fact you continue to pay for his/her car insurance your pay-outs would excede what your household income is.  Upon hearing this your child throws a tantrum.  Furthermore your child organizes his/her friends from the neighborhood and they block your driveway so that you are unable to leave to go to work.  Even more, your child demands that you reinstate paying for their car insurance, or they will continue to block your driveway until their demands are met.  Sounds crazy right?  This is the reality they face in Wisconsin, and now across the country.

Here is the difference with the Wisconsin situation and other union negotiations.  The Wisconsin union situation is based around the public sector, which receives money from tax payers.  Private sector unions receive money from private corporations based on a negotiated contract.  The fact that multiple unions have rallied around the so-called "victims" in Wisconsin is an irrelevancy.  What IS relevant is the influx of socialist and communist influence in this situation and many other similar ones around the country.  The left leaning liberal media will seldom report on this type of activity, which is probably why the liberal progressives hate FoxNews and Glenn Beck.  They can feel free to hate and demonize, and I will continue to pray for them.

Whats frustrates me the most is that many people in this country seem to think that if they don't know these facts that it won't affect them.  They turn a blind eye to the political turmoil our country is in right now, but best believe they will TiVo American Idol so they don't miss an episode.  It pains me to watch the apathy of those who react to what is right under their nose in this way.

It makes me chuckle sometimes when it DOES hit home.  Like when gas reaches $4 a gallon, or when a gallon of milk costs more than a gallon of gas, when their electric bill increases 40% from the previous year, or when they learn their kids are being taught about homosexual relationships in school.  These are just a few of the many examples of secular progressive influence being FORCED on our lives.  I can't reiterate enough the importance of standing up and defending traditional judeo-christian values, self reliance, hard work, honesty, integrity, and self worth.  Why are these values lost on so many Americans in this day and age?

    Well it's been awhile... 02/14/2011

Alot has happened since my last post.  First and foremost was the GOP sweeping the mid-tern elections.  They control the House, have roughly 40% of the Senate, and have definately become a thorn in the side of the obama political machine.  Recently the CPAC convention held a straw poll aimed at getting an idea of the people's choice for a GOP nominee.  It's obviously too early to tell at this point, but as we all know the the 2012 election will be here before we know it.

The mideast is in turmoil right now.  Thinking back about it, when has the mideast NOT been in turmoil?  The uprisings in Egypt have lead to...more uprisings.  As I type this right now there are currently uprisings happening in Yemen, Jordan, Iran, and Algeria.  Let's think about these recent happenings.

obama (he gets no capital "O" from me) stepped up to the plate on Egypt (mind you 10 days into the uprisings), and asked president Mubarak to step down to allow for positive change.  So, where was obama last year when people were uprising in Iran?  I see some hypocrisy here.  Is it because we give billions of dollars to Egypt every year?  Does this justify obama making the demands he has of Egypt?  Is it any wonder that the citizens of Egypt assaulted our reporters?  Look what our money did for them.  It created an evil dictatorship for over 30 years.

Well now we are in round 2 with Yemen, Iran, Jordan, Algeria.  Let's see how obama reacts to this one.

    Just some thoughts 06/30/10

I am currently a petition circulator in my state for a movement aimed to block the federal mandate on obama-care in my state.  We have events on a weekly basis and I attend when my work schedule allows.  My girlfriend stopped over tonight and I asked her if I could practice my "sales pitch" with her.  She agreed, this is kinda how it went...

(I am doing this so I can try to put into layman's terms the simplicity of the IDIOCY of obama-care, try to stay with me on this one)

Me: Hey, how are you? I have a great deal for you today, do you have time for me to explain it to you?

Customer: Well sure, is it really a great deal?

Me:  Oh it most definately is.  Do you like cars?

    Customer: Yes I do.

Me: Do you like really nice cars?

Customer: Yes of course, who doesn't?

Me:  Well that's true you're right.  I've got a really great deal for you today.  If you have time I'll tell you about it.

Customer:  I have time, tell me about it.

Me: Ok, I've got a 2010 Cadillac, and the payments are only $100 a month!  How does that sound?

Customer:  Sounds great!  But whats the catch?

Me:  The catch is, you make $100 payments a month, and we give you the car in 18 months and we continue to charge you $100 a month in payments until the car is paid off.  Is that a deal or what?

Customer:  So you are gonna charge ME for a car for 18 months that I  don't even have yet?

Me:  Yup! Sounds great doesn't it?

Customer:  No not at all, that doesn't make sense.

Me:  Well thats how obama-care works.  They will tax all of us now and for the next 4 years, the tax increases and premium rate increases start now, but the health care plan doesn't kick in until 2014.

    (Ok role-play over)

So think about it.  Would you make payments on a car they don't let you drive until 4 years down the road?  Would you make payments on a house you can't live in until 5 years down the road?

If you answered "NO" to either of the above questions, then ask yourself this....

What happened to common sense when this was all happening?  What has happened to common sense period?  Just this week the 2nd Ammendment was voted on, and it passed 5-4, which disappoints me (see me blog below on that topic).

Seriously, is this the Hope and Change?

Ok, I want this info to be heard, but I can't take credit for the research, so please refer to my brother Brad's blog about how CLOSELY obama is connected to Rod Blagojevich and Tony Rezko.
